RETURN POLICY

Damaged Package?
Your items are packed like fine china, but if your package arrives damaged please
Contact Us the day your package arrives. Failure to do so will not entitle you to a possible return/exchange. We will contact UPS and they will come out and inspect the damaged package so please make sure to have all the original packaging present. If the package is declared as damaged, a Damage Claim will be processed with UPS.

Collectible Barbie Dolls & Items
Your happiness is our main concern and we want you to be satisfied with your purchase.  It is important that you thoroughly read our Store Policies prior to placing your order to avoid any misunderstandings. 

We do not accept returns for any Collectible Items unless we are correcting a mistake on our end.  We will handle any returns on a case by case basis, but note that we reserve the right to refuse a return.  Please note that in an event of a return, a 20% restocking fee will be incurred. This is because our inventory is based on the amount of pre-orders we receive. If any item is returned to us, this leaves us with inventory overflow.  Any item received without a return authorization number will be refused.

Vintage Dolls & Items
We all have our great childhood memories of how items looked, but please note these items are over 50 years old, items do age and we do our very best to thoroughly describe them carefully.  Call us if you have any questions prior to ordering.

We gladly accept returns for Vintage Dolls & Items only if they are not as described.  Any returns of vintage items must be done the day the package is received and will need to be returned to us within 10 days.  There are no refunds for postage.

Smaller items such as purses, wigs, etc. that can be safely sent in a small padded envelope are sent US mail. 

Kaiser Doll Stands
We do not accept returns for Kaiser Doll Stands under any circumstances unless we are correcting an error on our end.

Other Items
We do not accept returns for other items such as Accessories, Books, Clothing and Magazines.

Please note that if your order cannot be fulfilled because we have not been shipped product from Mattel, you will receive a Store Credit which will need to be used within a one year period. We do NOT issue PayPal refunds for pre-ordered items.


PRE-ORDER POLICY

Collectible Barbie Dolls & Items
Your word is your honor. By placing your pre-order with us, you are agreeing to make your full payment/purchase when the item comes in stock. The amount of inventory we receive is based on the amount of pre-orders received. We do not take down-payments or money down when placing a pre-order (unless PayPal was used to place your order)*. However, any large-quantity pre-orders may be subject to a down-payment when order is placed. If so, customers will be contacted.** If a pre-order is cancelled before or on the day of processing, a $20 fee per item will be incurred.

Your credit card is not charged until we receive the item in stock and is shipped.

* PayPal automatically charges your account and we have no control over this.
** Any down-payments made will not be refunded unless there was a cancellation of the product

First-Come, First-Serve
All pre-order fulfillments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. This means that if you have placed your pre-order during the pre-order cycle, your pre-order will be honored. If you have placed your pre-order towards the end or after the pre-ordering cycle, your order will be filled by the date it was received. This does not guarantee that you will be receiving the item if your order was placed toward the end of the cycle.

Check Your E-mail & Voicemail!
If your pre-order cannot be fulfilled, you will be contacted via e-mail or telephone. Please provide valid contact information in the event that this does happen.

Check Our Site!
If there are any changes to inventory availability, our site will be updated. Please keep checking back!

Pre-Orders Made with PayPal
Although we do not require a down-payment for pre-orders, all orders made with PayPal will be charged automatically. We have no control over this. If for some reason your order cannot be fulfilled, we will gladly issue a Doll Attic Store credit. Please note that if your order cannot be fulfilled because we have not been shipped product from Mattel, you will receive a Store Credit which will need to be used within a one year period. We do NOT issue PayPal refunds for pre-ordered items.


LAYAWAY OPTION

We are more than happy to set up a Layaway Option for our customers. Our Layaway Option is available for orders of $200 or more before shipping and taxes. This requires you to pay half of your purchase down immediately at the time of purchase and the second half to be paid within 30 days. A valid credit is required even when paying by check/money order. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure that funds are available at the time of processing. We do not send reminders so please keep track of your payment dates. If a scheduled payment is declined, we will make one attempt to contact you. If we do not hear from you within two days, your order will be dropped. Deposits are non-refundable.


SHIPPING POLICIES

We reserve the right to use UPS or Post Office at our discretion based on what is more economical for the customer.
 

Shipping Policy - Domestic
The shipping rates are flat-rate for each type of shipping method available. Customers will be charged accordingly for any additional fees (for example: signature required, package interception, additional shipping costs due to high value).

Please note that shipping is based on the number of dolls being shipped, not the number of dolls you placed on your original preorder.  As dolls vary in date when they are received, we ship your dolls as they arrive to our warehouse.

** U.S. Domestic - UPS
UPS Ground: 5-7 Business Days
UPS 3-Day Air: 3 Business Days
UPS 2-Day Air: 2 Business Days
UPS Next-Day Air: 1 Business Day

** Vintage Dolls & Items: We ship all Vintage orders valued at $50 or more, via UPS with the exception of Overseas. Overseas customers are shipped US Global Priority Mail unless otherwise noted by customer.

** Please note: If you are in a high-risk area, it is YOUR responsibility to specify a “Signature Required” for your package(s) by leaving a comment under “Ordering Instructions” on the bottom of your order screen. We will NOT be held responsible for any undelivered packages due to failure in following additional shipping guidelines. Additional fees will be applied for “Signature Required” at time of shipping.

Shipping Changes
It is the responsibility of the customer to advise us of any shipping changes.  If a package needs to be rerouted, an $8.50 service charge will be incurred to the customer as UPS charges us for any address changes.  It is the responsibility of the customer if an incorrect address is given at the time of ordering.  Please make sure to keep us updated of any new addresses, phone numbers and email changes.

 

Shipping Policy - International
For our international customers, we understand that shipping can be costly. This is why we offer to combine shipping for items only if it is possible in between shipments. Your account will be charged as inventory comes in. This way you can save on shipping!

Please note that the shipping cost in your Shopping Cart is for U.S. Domestic UPS Shipping. All international orders will be charged accordingly when order is processed. Please Contact Us if you would like a quote on shipping costs before placing your order! Keep in mind that shipping costs can vary due to the weight, size, destination and value of the package.

International - US Postal Service (USPS)
USPS Priority Mail: 6-10 Business Days
USPS Express Mail: 3-5 Business Days
USPS First-Class Mail: Varies by country **

** Customer is responsible if package is lost or damaged en route. Insurance or tracking is not available for this option.

Please note that if you are using PayPal as your method of payment, we will invoice you for the additional shipping charge, which will need to be cleared prior to the item being shipped.

Customs
We insure all of our packages and declare the true value for all packages. Please do not ask us to declare a false value as we will not do so or make any exceptions.  Overseas customers are responsible for taxes and associated costs within their own country.

Fees
All international orders will be charged a handling fee of $6 (included in total shipping cost). This is because we do not have a mail pick-up service here at our location and all packages must be delivered to the nearest Post Office.


PAYMENT & BILLING

Taxes
All California residents must pay the state tax of 8.25% on all orders.

We gladly accept the following payment methods:
Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express

Please note for CREDIT CARD ORDERS ONLY that you are NOT charged when the order is placed on our site.  We manually process the orders, and please make certain that your Billing and Ship-To Address match your credit card.

Gift Cards (Visa/AmEx Gift Cards, etc.) will not be accepted into our system.

Money Orders and Personal Checks are accepted!
Please do NOT send CASH!

PayPal
We gladly accept PayPal. All orders placed with PayPal will be charged automatically. PayPal accounts will be charged automatically, even for pre-orders. We have no control over this.
