1970 - Dramatic New Living Barbie
Dramatic New Living Barbie was sold in 1969 and was a fully posable doll. She had rooted lashes, fresh high color makeup and had a shoulder length hair style. She came dressed in a silver and gold metallic swimsuit with an orange net cover-up. She came either as a titian, blonde or brunette. There also was a hard to find version issued by Sears which was included in their exclusive Action Accents giftset. In 1970 Living Barbie was introduced to the market, same stock number but wore a white and pink polka dot bodysuit with matching wrap skirt.
1971 - Living Barbie
In 1970 Living Barbie was introduced to the market, same stock number as Dramatic New Living Barbie but wore a white and pink polka dot bodysuit with matching wrap skirt.
1971-1972 - Live Action Barbie
Live Action Barbie was the "hippie" doll of the 1970's wearing a fantastic multi-colored long sleeve top with faux light tan suede wristlets, matching bell bottom bands, tan Skipper flat and her blonde hair was neatly held in place with a brown faux brown head band.
